Si Kai's Testimony - Financial Blessings

18 July 2009

Hi, my name is Si Kai and I would like to share with you how God has blessed me financially as I began to give to build the house of God.

Recently, when Pastor preached about Building Fund, God spoke to me saying that if I give with a generous heart and the right spirit, it would move the heart of God to work miracles in my life. I want to live a life after God’s heart and interest; therefore, I started to trust in God and to give to building fund, as it is the focus of the season. Though breakthroughs did not appear immediately, I continued to sow and give in faith, trusting God in everything I have. Matt 6:25-26 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?”

2 weeks ago during service, when we were about to give our offering, I felt like God asking me to trust in Him and gave what I had left into the offering. However, I had only 40 cents with me. I was too embarrassed and ashamed to give so little and to write that amount onto the offering envelope so in the end I didn’t give and let the offering envelope go by me.

The next day, when we went to Heart of God Church for service, I decided to give what I had left which was 20 cents into the offering.

That night when I went back home my mum gave me two Ang Baos saying that there were from my grandparents and she kept forgetting to pass them to me. Inside the Ang Bao contained 200 Australian dollars. God turned my 20cents into $200! I knew then if I had given on Saturday, my mum would have given me the money then. It was like God's blessing had already been prepared for me and it was just a matter of the right moment for it to come.

However, it did not just stop there. That week, I went to help my dad out at his office and he offered to pay me although I only worked in the morning before going to army in the afternoon. He gave me $80 for just working those few days.

My mum was so happy about me helping my dad out at the office that she gave me $50 that same week. Furthermore, my mum passed me another Ang Bao from my aunt saying that it was for me to go Australia. Inside contained 100 Australian dollars. It was like financial blessings just kept coming and coming and coming. Praise God!

In just one week, I have received 300 Australian dollars which is approximately 345 Singapore dollars which means I have received a total of 475 Singapore dollars. God just blessed me back what I gave Him by more than 200 times. My wallet from 40 cents increased to 475 dollars!

God did not look at the quantity of my offering, he looked at the heart and quality behind the giving. Give what you are willing to give, and according to your faith. In 2 Corinthians 9:7, say that “You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.” I know that God will generously provide all I need and that I do not have to give out of obligation or give something that I am unable to give.

I would like to encourage everyone that we take this opportunity to sow generously to Building Fund because Luke 6:38 says “Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.” When we give, set our eyes on the God who provides and not what he can provide. God multiplied a boy’s 5 loaves and 2 fishes to feed 5 thousand. He blessed me with more than enough. Truly, you can never outgive the God who provides.

Thank You.
